Insurance & Fees
Prior to your arrival at Palo Alto Surgery Center, your physician’s office will provide us with your insurance and contact information. We will then confirm with your insurance carrier that the appropriate authorization for surgery was received.
Because your estimated financial responsibility is due upon scheduling your surgery, it is important to be aware of your co-pay and/or deductible amounts.
The Surgery Center fee covers the use of our facility and staff, as well as most equipment or medications used during your visit. You may also be separately billed by:
- The anesthesiologist
- Your physician
- Pathology (if specimen was sent for examination)
- The radiologist (for ultrasound or x-rays)
- Implant vendor (if your doctor requested implants)
If you have any questions regarding your insurance coverage or estimated fees, you are always welcome to call the Palo Alto Surgery Center’s business office staff directly at 650.565.8683. For a more detailed explanation of your benefits, please call your insurance provider directly.
